Comprehensive spine team
Our program brings together a variety of skilled specialists with experience in a wide range of spinal conditions. This multidisciplinary team includes orthopedic spine surgeons, neurosurgeons, physiatrists (rehabilitative medicine physicians), nursing staff, physical and occupational therapists, radiologists and an interventional pain management team.

R. Bryan Mason, MD, FACS, a board-certified neurosurgeon with more than 10 years' experience completed his neurosurgical training at the National Naval Medical Center. Dr. Mason's neurosurgical interests include tumors of the brain and spine, as well as pituitary and all other spine injuries. Dr. Mason practices at both MedStar Montgomery Medical Center and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

Navinder Sethi, MD, medical director of the spine program, was named one of Becker's Orthopedic & Spine Review, "50 of the Best Spine Specialists in America." Dr. Sethi has lectured and has been published both nationally and internationally on spine-related topics. His medical peer presentations have included appearances at the prestigious American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society and Cervical Spine Research Society conclaves, among others.

David M. Perim, MD, FAAOS, received his medical degree from Georgetown University, and completed his medical internship at California Pacific Hospital, surgical internship at St. Mary's Medical Center in San Francisco and his Orthopedic residency at the San Francisco orthopedic training program. He obtained fellowship training in spine surgery at the Texas Back Institute. In addition to general orthopedics and treating sports injuries, he has additional training in arthroscopic lumbar disc removal and techniques for the treatment of chronic back pain including epidural steroid injections and lumbar facet blocks.
