Scholarship Program for Nursing and Allied Health Fields
The application process is closed.
The application process consists of the following:
- Online Application
- Official Transcript
- Letter of Recommendation
- SAT/ACT Scores: for current or recently graduated high school students only
Criteria for Selection of Scholarship Awards
- Must be a US Citizen and a resident of the state of Maryland.
- Must be receiving an undergraduate degree, including: Associates, Bachelors, LPN, or RN.
- Applicants must be actively pursuing an education in a nursing or allied health field.
- A non-working recipient must maintain a minimum of 12 required credit hours/term.
- Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, and a goal of pursuing a healthcare career.
- Applicant should be actively involved in their community and participating in extracurricular activities.
- Previous recipients of the Women's Board Scholarship can re-apply for subsequent grants. Grants may be awarded for a maximum of 4 years.
Levels of Scholarship Grants
- Grants will be allocated for the cost of fees and the financial needs of the student. Grants may be awarded for a maximum of 4 years.
- Scholarships will apply to tuition and fees. Checks will only be made payable to the recipient's school.
- Recipient will be responsible for any transfer of funds if a change of school is made.

Documents must be compatible to 2001 Microsoft Word Processor and may include: PDF, JPEG, and .doc files. NOTE: Please do not attach .docx files. NOTE: ALL requirements were due by March 15, 2012. Any requirements postmarked after the due date, will not be accepted.
